Welcome to the Kent Town Hotel

Adelaide's newest hotel experience.

The heritage listed Kent Town Hotel was originally built in 1857. Constructed of masonry with parapet walls, the Victorian style hotel is renowned for its attractive design, stucco detailing and substantial and prominent character. First licensed in 1857, the hotel was located in an important residential area.

In 1858 John McDouall Stuart received his testimonial dinner at the Kent Town Hotel, evidencing the buildings significance to the community. The hotel is typical of the 1876-1884 boom, having been rebuilt in 1878-1884. The Kent Town Hotel adds character to the region, lying amid an important group of Victorian buildings that mark the “Village Centre” of Kent Town.
